By far the best reptile and fresh water fish store I have ever been too. I have known Rich for over 2 years and helped me out when I started my saltwater reef tank. To now a fresh water aquarium and helping me with my bearded dragon. He has so much knowledge and passion when it comes to his clients. Store is clean and loaded with reptiles and fish. If he doesn’t have it, he’ll make sure to get it for you. Thanks Rich!

Such a great experience! We’re fish tank newbies and the staff here were so knowledgeable and helpful with all of our questions. We left with 6 fish, lots of info, and plans for next steps. They were so kind to our kids too and let them touch some snakes and reptiles— we honestly had a blast haha. We’ll happily return to this local gem as we continue this new hobby!

I inherited an Indonesia Blue Tongue Skink from a friend. I knew nothing. Everyone at the store is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful! Whenever in doubt, ask and they will know the answer. Best diet, care, etc. They have an amazing selection of reptiles in beautiful enclosures. This place is fantastic!

Absolutely wonderful store, so glad this place opened. It easily has the best assortment of freshwater fish and reptiles in Westchester, all for really fair prices. They also carry a lot of the reptile/aquarium essentials, likes tanks, heaters, sand/rocks, lizard hammocks, food (live bugs, frozen fish food, etc) and more. Additionally, they also design premade terrariums where you can buy one all set up and ready to go. Which admittedly I usually love building my own, but I know for some that can be an intimidating prospect, so being able to buy one set up straight from them is really handy. Definitely recommend giving this place a visit.

I recently acquired a fish tank from a friend who was moving away. I have absolutely no experience with fish, but thought it would be a fun hobby for my toddler. We are loving our fish tank, and this fish shop is a huge reason why, I can’t speak highly enough about the crew at A&R! They have been so helpful and patient with teaching me how to care for my tank. When we sadly lost a fish, they worked with me to test the alkaline levels of my tank and taught me how to do a water change so I could get back on track. They obviously care so much about their animals and their customers.

BUT, the best part about A&R is how absolutely wonderful they are when I come in with my daughter. My two year old is obsessed with the fish, and they completely indulge her curiosities. They let her touch the snakes, they let her watch as they feed the lizards, they show her beetles and turtles and all sorts of amazing things. It’s always an adventure when we visit. I wish I could buy a new fish every week just so we could visit and support this business! We might end up with a full aquarium before we know it!
