Estuvimos buscando un lugar donde nuestra pequeña de 3 años pudiera aprender y cómo padres nos preocupaba mucho el entorno en el que estaría durante todo el día. Hoy nos sentimos muy felices porque nuestra pequeña no solo desarrolló destrezas físicas y mentales, sino que conoció el valor de la amistad y su desenvolvimiento social mejoró día tras día. Nuestra hija creció y pudo ingresar a otra academia demostrando que tenía una educación previa con altos standares. We started taking our oldest daughter to Maria’s Kids roughly two years ago. I immediately felt comfortable leaving my child with caring and confident staff. We now have two children attending Maria’s Kids and could not be happier. With our oldest fluent and our youngest continually building both her Spanish and English vocabulary, we are amazed by them every day. I have minimal Spanish education (3 years in high school), but enjoy listening to the monthly music CDs that Maria provides to our family. We all listen to the songs in the car which helps me brush up on my Spanish and helps my husband to learn new phrases. Now we can communicate to our kids about things like brushing teeth, the different seasons, animals, and more in Spanish or English. Additionally, Maria is an amazing educator who is working on developing writing and arithmetic with our 4 year old. She is able to write her own name and recognize the written names of her friends, and I attribute that to the education Maria provides. Maria organizes amazing field trips, makes education a top priority, and provides the most amazing food! They somehow get my kids to eat spinach! Maria and all staff are always available to my husband and I for even the smallest questions, which I appreciate as a full-time working mom. We are truly lucky to have found Maria’s Kids!

Maria’s Kids Spanish Immersion School is phenomenal! We had tried out several daycares after our original provider moved, and couldn’t find anything that checked all the boxes on what we were looking for. And then we found Maria’s!! Our kids are loved like they are family, they have a ton of fun with a variety of lessons, singing, activities and field trips...and they’re learning a second language on top of it!! Maria and her husband Geoff are so down to earth and easy to get along with. They worked with us to set a schedule that met our immediate needs, which was unexpected and amazing. If Maria has room at her school, your children would be lucky to attend. We can’t wait for our new baby to join their daycare family next year!

We were very disappointed by our experience communicating with Maria and Maria's Day Care representatives over the past weeks. The daycare looked like a nice place for our daughter to gain social confidence and improve her Spanish. A few observations, such as scrap metal in the walkway leading to the children's outdoor play area, gave us pause. But we had heard good things overall about this daycare so we were excited to start. Maria let us know that there was a space for our daughter and we counted on that. We unfortunately passed on another daycare while we waited for our space to open in April as Maria had described. We became nervous when Maria did not show up for our tour of the facility and became extremely difficult to reach by phone or email. Her late responses rarely answered our questions and we started to question the idea of leaving our daughter in her care. Finally, just before April, when we were planning to start, she let us know that the selection process was actually competitive and we would be notified if a space was still available for our daughter by "Friday". We were upset because we had never gotten to meet Maria or been told that selection was competitive during our short tour of the facility with another employee who filled in when Maria had not shown up. How do you judge one 16-month-old against another anyway?! Friday came and went and, once again, Maria did not contact us until almost a week after she had promised. After ignoring our calls during those days, she sent us a brief email letting us know there wasn't a space for our daughter after all. At this point we had also decided that we couldn't leave our daughter with someone who seemed so irresponsible and unresponsive.

We love Maria’s Kids. My 3 daughters have the biggest smiles when they are at Maria’s Kids and all the teachers truly love their job and treat my children as their own. I was so nervous to have my kids start daycare and Maria went above and beyond providing check-ins the first few days to make this momma feel so at ease! I just asked my daughters why they ask Maria’s Kids and they said you get to do lots of things and we love our teachers!

My children go to a Spanish Immersion school and I was looking for care for them over the summer. I came across Maria’s Kids and was super excited it was Spanish Immersion. It has hands down been the best decision we made. Maria made my kids feel instantly welcomed and comfortable. Maria is very warm and caring, you can just see it in how she interacts with the kids. She does lot of fun field trips, such as Valleyfair, and activities with the kids. It’s wonderful to know that they are enjoying their summer and not just sitting around. Most importantly, our kids absolutely love it! After the first week, my kids asked me to pick them later because they wanted to play longer. I have never had my kids ask that in any other daycares. They look forward to going there everyday. Thank you Maria for taking care of our kids and giving them an awesome summer!

My husband and I could not be more content with Maria’s Kids. Their care, attention, fun projects (+ field trips) and learning activities go the extra mile. This includes not only Maria, but all of the care providers. My two kids are so happy to take part and feel very close to the teachers, which at the end of the day is extremely important and reassuring as a working parent. And...the extra huge ‘plus’ is that my 4 year old is now fluent in Spanish! Highly recommend.
