The designer John Paul Ataker has the most beautiful and gorgeous designs. I have been fortunate enough to purchase several of their dresses. I am in love with their designs and the staff is so incredibly nice and welcoming. Always willing to help and even reasonable pricing for the most high end designs on Madison Avenue. Visiting their store is a must if you are looking to attend an event and wear high end couture.

I had the most wonderful experience with Bria Henry at John Paul Ataker's. I had spent months searching online and all over the Washington, DC area for a "mother-of-the-groom" dress--to no avail. During a trip to NYC, I spent three days going to department stores and boutiques, but it wasn't until my last morning that I happened to walk by a storefront with a gorgeous gown in the window. I went inside and Bria showed me the racks of beautiful designs that could be customized by adding sleeves, changing the length, selecting a different color...or other decisions. Using a palette from he bride, I choose a dress that was off the shoulder, but with unique, ruffled sleeves; it definitely did NOT make me feel "matronly!" I got so many compliments at the wedding, including one young woman who told me it was the best "mother in the bridal party" dress she had ever seen! I highly recommend John Paul Ataker for a dress that you will feel and be stunning in!

Maddison Avenue I’ll be back…

My only daughter is getting married and having a black-tie New Year’s Eve wedding. I started early with my search for the perfect mother of the bride dress. I am from Baltimore and searched all of Baltimore, Atlanta and Dallas. In all of my searching, I couldn’t find a dress that I like but I discovered a designer that I loved, John Paul Ataker. After a google search and hours of stalking their collections, I headed for New York.
Arriving at John Paul Ataker’s Maddison Avenue flagship store, I was greeted by Keri Ataker, Co-founder and President of JPA. She is the face of the franchise and as knowledgeable as you will find in the industry.

Keri, 9 months pregnant treated me as if I was her very first ever client. I found a dress that I loved but wanted sleeves added, her experienced couture design team jumped right in. They sent me sketch after sketch trying to capture my vision of combining my favorite things from a couple different dresses.

Realizing that I had totally destroyed their original design with my concepts of what I wanted on my dress, I headed back to NY to meet with Keri who was back at work less than a week from having her baby. Keri, determine to please me, gave me access to their 2019 Spring Collection which was just on the runway from Fashion Week and was not yet available for sale.

I had so many beautiful dresses to choose from, in my opinion their newest collection is their best, luxury and modern sophistication met with edginess. I feel in love with many and chose a gorgeous gown.
My dress arrived yesterday and when I slipped it on, it exceeded all of my expectations. It is so beautiful and the feel of the fabric is indescribable. The fit was perfect as they made the dress to my measurements. I guarantee you that the mom of the groom’s dress which is off the rack from Nieman’s won’t come close to my beautiful Ataker dress and I am sure she paid more for her dress than my made to order couture gown.

I highly recommend you visiting Keri at John Paul Ataker’s flagship store in NY where they have old school principals and will make you look and feel like a star.

Amazing store!! Was there yesterday with my daughter and sister. They was so helpful and welcoming. All well at the same time making sure we felt comfortable and safe during this scary time with COVID 19 by following all the guidelines recommended by the CDC. But making you feel comfortable at the same time
