Los Chozones - Alhaurín el Grande, Málaga

El trato por parte del anfitrion ha sido bueno, pero nuestra experiencia ha sido muy mala por estos motivos:
- El acceso es muy complicado los últimos 800 metros.
- Solamente hay 3 parcelas, y al estar ocupadas, nos hizo alojarnos en un terreno que no era una parcela, al lado de los baños y con un ruido de un motor insoportable.
- No hay ningun sitio para poder lavar los platos.
- Hay un único aseo para todos los huéspedes.

Lamentablemente no recomiendo ir a este sitio.

De entrada decir que no es un camping.
Es un chalet B&B y en los jardines tiene sitio para aparcar, tiene un wc y una ducha pero para las personas que estábamos a sido suficiente, tiene piscina con camas Balinesas y barbacoa de gas, todo perfecto!!

Estuve con mi novia el fin de semana pasado. Es un lugar fantástico, tranquilo y en 15 minutos estás en el centro de Alhaurín.
Mark, el propietario , nos atendió estupendamente , un hombre encantador.

Piscina y jardines espectaculares, tranquilidad absoluta.
No muy equipado para camper, el anfitrion muy atento y servicial.
Acceso no asfaltado y en pendien.

Es un local atendido por su propio dueño el cual es un sr inglés super amable y divertido! Facilita todo lo que necesites para tu comodidad! El área en bellísima, limpia, amplio! Zona es retirada pero de facil accesos de la autovia!

We spent a lovely peaceful week at Los Chozones in our motorhome in January. Mark and Fatima are great hosts and keen to ensure that you enjoy your stay. The site is well located for getting out to explore coastal towns and hillside villages - we ventured out most days on our scooter. There’s also a traditional Spanish village with bar and small grocery store within walking distance of the site. Great toilet and shower facilities. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We stayed for two weeks in our motorhome at Los Chozones. Before you arrive Mark the host is very helpful offering route options and advice.||The roads in are basically pot holed dirt tracks and the final part is steep and tricky especially if wet. A large motorhome the day we arrived got stuck leaving.||The site is very nice, the pool area and garden when laid up with cushions etc look lovely. there is one toilet and one shower which is enough for a small site but the cleaning isn’t sufficient for my liking.| There is also a small washing up area but no washing machine so if staying longer clothes washing is tricky. | |The day we arrived none of it had been cleaned for 2 days other users advised us, and then Mark went off to Morroco for 4 days so nothing happened at all for 6 days sadly. The toilet bin overflowed badly with soiled toilet paper and cleaning was non existent which just isn't acceptable, there was no toilet paper or hand soap. ||On Marks return we and several others complained and he advised we should have cleaned it ourselves emptied the bins and taken the rubbish off site, his advise to a bunch of 60 ish year olds was instructions on washing our bottoms morrocan style not requiring toilet paper or hand soap in the bathroom, as you can imagine that didn’t go down well. Mark also advised this was his home not a camp site he was just allowing us to park there, I reminded him we were in fact paying guests … After a private discussion things did improve for a while. ||This all sounds negative but if you can overlook the short comings I actually enjoyed my stay, the local town is a short walk 25 mins, with bar/tapas bakers supermarket sufficient for needs. You can hire a car and go further afield or Mark offers trips which we took up and had brilliant days out to Ronda and a wine tasting and also the Caminito, Mark gives a good personal service is a very safe driver and offers many tips on where to visit, best views etc which we really appreciated and I’d recommend. And when you work out how many hours he spends out he is actually earning very little on these days and so I suggested a price increase.||Marks dog Barney is cute and friendly but uses the whole site as his toilet so there is often dog poop lying around when mark is away. He cheekily also often ask anyone staying to dog sit while he goes golf or out for the evening..||Finally the site for me is laid out badly the motor homes are in a row meaning some get blocked in and you have to ask others to move to drive by which is just not good. There is no room to put up an awning Mark advises it gets windy but the layout doesn’t really allow for a full awning but you can use a canopy. ||Sadly we left two days early not because we wanted to but as mentioned if bad weather the steep exit road can be tricky and heavy rain was forecast.||Overall I liked Mark and Los Chozones he tries to be very helpful and you can see he is trying hard to create a nice site and offer services, the site was nice for a lovely rest just what we needed in this part of our travels, we’re we lucky to have met some lovely travellers coming and going while there so if the layout was tweaked, the road out was improved and there was a washing machine on site plus regular daily cleaning it could be perfect!
